Grover Allen "Bud" Huggins(1939 - 2014)

Fort Ashby, WV -- Grover "Bud" Allen Huggins, 75, of Fort Ashby, died Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born June 19, 1939 in Oxford, MS, he was the son of the late Clyde James Huggins and Mabel (Kinney) Huggins.
Bud was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin University, Wash., D.C., earning a degree in accounting.
While in the Washington area, he worked for the F.B.I. and Bond Beebe Accountants. In Mississippi, Mr. Huggins was employed by Winkle and Associates.
More recently, Bud worked for Rollins and Associates in Keyser.
Mr. Huggins was a member of the Fort Ashby Lions Club and the Rotary Club of Keyser.
He coached Little League when his son participated in sports. As a grandfather, he faithfully attended his grandchildren's sporting events.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Carol (Friend) Huggins; three children, Dana Huggins, Fort Ashby, Kathy Phares, Fort Ashby, and Michael Huggins, and wife Seunghye, Ashburn, VA; four grandchildren, Zac Phares, Jake Phares, Haley Huggins, and Hannah Huggins; one brother, James M. Huggins, and wife Ann, Oxford, MS; and, several nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, Inc., Route 28, Fort Ashby, on Sunday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
The funeral service was conducted in the funeral home on Monday at 10 AM, with Rev. Michael Leedom, officiating.
Interment waas in Davis Cemetery, Davis, WV on Monday at 1 PM.
