Philip G. Shepp(1938 - 2018)

KEYSER- Philip G. Shepp, 80, of Kimble Street, Keyser, WV, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV while under the care of WV Caring Hospice.

Born on June 28, 1938 at Cumberland, MD, he was a son of the late Bryan Evert and Dorothy Lorene (Stell) Shepp. He also was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Howard "Bub" and Violet Bill.

Mr. Shepp was a 1956 graduate of Keyser High School and owned and operated City Food Service on South Main Street in Keyser for 41 years. He served in the United States Army National Guard and was very active in the lunches and reunion functions of his high school graduating class. An avid sports fan, he especially enjoyed softball and baseball. He loved his pets, especially "Mindy," feeding the birds and running his Jeeps.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Linda Lou (Bill) Shepp; his two sons, Philip G. Shepp, II and Steven M. Shepp and wife Lori, all of Keyser; two grandchildren, Alexander and Reagan Shepp; two brothers, Bryan Shepp and wife June of Portland, ME and R. Michael Shepp and wife Dr. Janet Olcott of Shepherdstown, WV; a niece, Karen Tillman and a nephew, David Shepp.

At Mr. Shepp's request, no services are planned at this time.

The Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Keyser, is in charge of the arrangements.
