Alston Bruce "Al" Martin Obituary
Alston Bruce Martin, 52, of Ludwick Street, Keyser, WV, died Monday, March 17, 2014 at his residence.

Born on October 22, 1961 at Keyser, WV, he was a son of the late James Alston and Ruth M. (French) Martin. He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas L. Martin and James E. Martin.

"Al" was a 1979 graduate of Keyser High School. He served in the U.S. Navy  and was a member of the Church of the Assumption and Lodge # 662, Loyal Order of Moose, both of Keyser. In his earlier years, he was very active in the community, especially with youth activities, such as Little League baseball, teaching kids to swim and other sports and activities.

Surviving are his daughter, Tori-Lyn Martin and fiancé Samuel Cage of Cumberland, MD; one son, Jeffrey J. "J.J." Martin and fiancee Stephanie McKenzie of Cumberland; his granddaughter, Adilynn Cage; one sister, Ruth "Lynn" McQuinn of Keyser; one brother, Jeff Martin of Gerrardstown, WV; three nephews, Adam, Thomas and Daniel Martin, all of Gerrardstown; three nieces, Julia Shobe of New Creek, WV, Jennifer Divelbliss of Keyser and Sara Martin of Gerrardstown; three great nephews and one great niece.

Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Friday, March 21, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. A Christian Wake service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption with Father William K. Matheny, Jr. as celebrant.

Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser. Graveside military honors will be accorded.
