Charles L. Jordan
KEYSER, WV – Charles L. Jordan, 75, of Rt. 1, Keyser, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his family.
Born on November 8, 1938 in Keyser, he was a son of the late Bruce and Lucy (Johnson) Jordan.
He was a graduate of Keyser High School class of 1957 and the Lincoln Welding School. Charles was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. He was employed as a welder for 22 years with the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union and later served for 10 years as business manager of Local 152. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of the NRA and a member of Loyal Order of the Moose #662, Keyser, for more than 50 years. Charles was an avid fisherman and hunter and he shared his passion and love of the outdoors with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Ann (Adams) Jordan; his children, Clarissa Harris and husband Ken of Oakland, MD, Chris Jordan and wife Stacey of Keyser, Carlotta Smith and husband Jerry of Point Marion, PA. He is also survived by his brothers Bruce D. Jordan and Harrell Keith Jordan both of Keyser and sisters, Mary Marlin Early of Simpsonville, SC and Iris Camplain of Hemet, CA; and three grandchildren, Kevin and Kayla Harris and Christopher "Cole" Jordan.
Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 9 PM. Funeral Services will be held at the Grace United Methodist Church, 30 S. Mineral St. on Thursday April 17 at 1:00 PM with the Rev. James A. McCune officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Potomac Memorial Gardens.
