H. Edward "Ed" Miller Obituary
H. Edward "Ed" Miller, Jr., 53, of Lynmar Street, Keyser, WV, died Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born on December 14, 1960 at Keyser, WV, he was a son of H. Edward Miller, Sr. and JoAnn (Keegan) Miller of Keyser. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Gladys Keegan and William and Lillian Miller and a brother-in-law, Jim Humbertson. Loving family members that he also loved and lost include his father and mother-in-law, Jack and Pat Metcalf, brothers-in-law, Chuck and Jack Metcalf and a sister-in-law, Ricki Smith.
Ed was a 1979 graduate of Keyser High School, was Catholic by faith and was employed as calendar nine machine operator at New Page Corporation. He was a long time member of Lodge # 662, Loyal Order of Moose, Keyser and  was a social member of the Kelly Mansfield Post # 52, American Legion in Piedmont, WV. He loved camping at the river and riding his Harley motorcycle.
Surviving are his wife of 19 years, Kim A. Metcalf and their furry babies, Bella, Jasper and Gizmo; his parents, Ed and JoAnn; his two children, Stacy L. Miller and Joshua J.E. Miller, both of Keyser; a stepson, Wesley Serpone of Medford, OR; three grandchildren, Lily Ann, Joshua and Carly; a step-grandson, Luka and a brother, Gordon Miller of Morgantown, WV. He loved all of his family and friends including his family and friends at the New Page Paper Mill and Martie's Hot Dog Stand.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Sunday, June 22, 2014 from 2-6 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Monday, June 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Randy Crowe officiating.
Placement of Mr. Miller's cremated remains will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens Columbarium, Keyser.
The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Mineral County Humane Society, HC 84, Box 12, Keyser, WV 26726.
