Richard E. "Buddy" Davis Obituary

Richard E. "Buddy" Davis, 64, of Knobley Road, Keyser, WV, died Monday, December 9, 2013 at his residence.
Born on July 15, 1949 at Keyser, WV, he was a son of the late William Paul and Isabella (Kantor) Davis. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Clyde Kesner, Sr.
Mr. Davis was a retired carpenter and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Patricia M. (Kesner) Davis; one son, Roger L. Davis and fiancee, Eliza Crider of Hedgesville, WV; two daughters, Stacy D. (Davis) Conner and husband Robert A. Conner, III of Keyser and Kaylynn N. Bauerle of Stephens City, VA; two brothers, James E. Hanlin and wife Kathy and William T. Davis, all of Keyser and nine grandchildren, Robert A. Conner, IV, Quinton A. Conner, Alexander C. Conner, Justin L.R. Davis, Abigail D. Davis, Breanna N. Davis, Aeden B. Davis, Tori M. Crider and Adyson B. Crider. Also surviving is a goddaughter, Robyn Vandevander and her two sons, Cody and Caleb of Augusta, WV; his mother-in-law, Myrtle Mae Kesner of Keyser and a brother-in-law, Clyde "C.J." Kesner, Jr. of Keyser; a special friend, Veronica R. Spurling; a special aunt, Emma (Kantor) Kasmier; nieces and nephews, James E. Hanlin, Jr., Lisa Keister and husband Glenn, Andrew Davis, Aaron Davis, Danielle Turner and husband Derek, Samantha Bauerle and Connor Spurling and grand nieces and nephew, Madison Turner, Gracelynn Turner and Jacob Turner.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 1-4 p.m.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 6:00 p.m.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Mountain Hospice workers, especially Jennifer VanPelt, Ila Crumbaugh and Kim Staggs and to Kevin with Pulmonary Associates.
