Karen Elaine Martin Obituary
KEYSER - Karen Elaine Martin, 66, of Parkview Drive, Keyser, WV, passed away in the loving embrace of her loving husband on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at her home.
Born on June 21, 1951 in Baltimore, MD, she was a daughter of the late Earl W. DuVall, Sr. and Mary Elaine (Everett) DuVall. She also was preceded in death by a brother, James Everett DuVall.
Mrs. Martin was retired as a child care provider and was a member of the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in Cumberland, MD where she taught the adult Sunday school class. She truly loved being a teacher and being the center of her family's life. The most important things in her life were her family and her God. Many people enjoyed the daily Bible verse that she would post on Facebook. She was always a giving, generous person and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Donald R. Martin; her children, Shane DuVall of New Creek, WV and Christa Stimmetz and husband Mark of Fort Ashby, WV; her three precious grandchildren, Courtney DuVall and Justen and Hayden Stimmetz; a brother, Earl W. "Bill" DuVall, II and wife Darcy of Cumberland, MD; a sister, Janie DuVall-Tutt and husband Willie of Burlington, WV and her faithful sidekick, her Carolina dog, "Chloe." She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
At Mrs. Martin's request, there will be no public visitation. A public memorial service will be announced at a later date.
The Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Keyser, is in charge of the arrangements.
Condolences and personal reflections to the family may be left after Mrs. Martin's obituary at smithfuneralhomes.net.
