Lillian L. Clair Obituary

KEYSER - Lillian L. Clair, 93, of Keyser, W.Va., passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at her home with her family by her side.
Born on March 6, 1920, in Akron, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Roscoe G. and Rena (Goble) Brooks.
She also was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Franklin H. Clair, on Dec. 6, 2002; a daughter, Ruth Ann Ward; three brothers, Richard, Ralph and Olen Brooks; and two sisters, Celia Edgel and Reva Brooks, all of Akron.
Mrs. Clair retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in 1975 with 33 1/2 years of service. She attended the Fountain United Brethren in Christ Church and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post in Akron for 43 years. She also held membership in the Ladies Auxiliary of Nancy Hanks Post # 3518, VFW, Keyser, was a life member of Turkey Foot Sportsman Club in Akron, member of the Goodyear Wingfoot Girls, Lehigh Rod and Gun Club, Burlington, WV, Independent Order of Forresters and the Reeses Mill C.E.O.S. (Homemakers.)
Surviving are a daughter, Rena M. Anderson and husband Delano of New Port Richey, Fla.; three granddaughters, Reva VanOchten and husband Sonny, Darla Schwendeman and husband Dave and Thea Demastus and husband Joe, all of New Port Richey; three grandsons, Jared Fitch of Illinois, Bob Fitch of Burlington and Neil Ward and wife Ruthie of Keyser; 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Fountain United Brethren in Christ Church on Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Daryl M. Elliott officiating.
Friends may also call at the church one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Clair Family Cemetery, Burlington.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Potomac Valley Hospice, with special heartfelt thanks to Marsha and Sandy for their love, gentle care and respect.
