Clarence "Chief" Connard Comer

Clarence "Chief" Connard Comer, 79, of Woodland Circle, Waynesboro, Virginia, died on Saturday, December 4, 2010, at Shenandoah House.

He was born July 14, 1931, in Marion, Virginia, a son of the late Earl and Emma (Corvin) Comer.

"Chief" worked in maintenance at Wayne-Tex for more than 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Elsie Comer on June 27, 2006.

Surviving are his sons, Clarence E. Comer and Michael D. Comer, both of Waynesboro; and a sister, Lorene Elligner of Waynesboro.

Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at Augusta Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2010, at McDow Funeral Home.
