George F. "Buddy" Bolton II

George F. "Buddy" Bolton II George F. (Buddy) Bolton II, 59, of Stuarts Draft, passed away on Friday evening, December 24, 2010, at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born on Wednesday, February 14, 1951, in Waynesboro, the son of the late George F. Bolton of Richmond and the late Margueritte E. (Maggie) Bolton of Waynesboro.

Buddy was employed by Hershey and he served in the United States Navy from 1967 until 1971.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Rose Bolton; two daughters, Elizabeth "Betsy" Bolton and Jennifer Hughes and her husband, Tommy, all of Stuarts Draft; two stepdaughters, Lynn Fretwell and her husband, Chris, of Stuarts Draft and Rita Tinsley and her husband, David, of Staunton; three stepsons, Quinton W. "Quinn" Aleshire of Staunton, Joe Huber and his wife, Cara, of Tyler, Texas, and Dallas Huber of Raphine; three grandchildren, Amber, Mason and Lucas Lane; seven step-grandchildren, Taylor Fretwell, Casey and Coltin Aleshire, Kayli and Ashton Tinsley, Daniel Huber and Lyllian Huber; two sisters, Lelia Bolton and Donna Beardsworth both of Waynesboro; one brother, William B. "Bill" Bolton of Waynesboro; his aunts, Jane Coulson of Redondo Beach, California, Juanita Kincaid of Fishersville and Pat Gill of Waynesboro; a niece, Donna Jo Morris of Richmond; a nephew, Richard Beardsworth and his son, Owen, of Maryland; his Small Group family, John and Chris Grove, Wes and Nancy Ross, Amos and Carol Showalter, Russ and Sylvia Swanson and Dave and Mim Wenger; his father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Norman M. Yoder of Grantsville, Maryland and sisters-in-law, Carol Beachy and her husband, Tim, of Smithsburg, Maryland, and Shirley Konz and her husband, Larry, of Durango, Colorado; and his special companion pet, "Pippi".

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at Blue Ridge Church of Christ, 1275 Goose Creek Road, Fishersville conducted by Pastor Todd Brown. Interment will be at Augusta Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Mason Lane, Lucas Lane, Tommy Hughes, Quinn Aleshire, Ritchie Beardsworth, Dallas Huber, Joe Huber and J. L. Haney. Honorary pallbearers will members of the Small Group Family.

The family will receive friends at Blue Ridge Church of Christ from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010.
