Phyllis Maxine Landes

Phyllis Maxine Landes, 68, of Mechanicsville, widow of Aubrey R. Landes Sr., passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2011.

She is survived by son, Aubrey R. Landes Jr.; daughter, Loretta Lynn Halpin and her husband, Michael, both of Waynesboro; four granddaughters, Jennifer and Kayla Landes, and Lindsey and Brianna Halpin; brother, Hubert Hall and his wife, Suzanne; two sisters, Carolyn Howell and her husband, Lester, and Joyce Fisher; and a host of special nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Landes was a member of Pole Green Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011, at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Road. Committal services will be held 1:30 p.m. in Riverview Cemetery, Waynesboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pole Green Church of Christ, 8319 Lee-Davis Road, Mechanicsville, VA 23111.
