James L. "Jim" Koza, of Sun City, passed away April 26, 2018 at the age of 89. He was born June 25, 1928 in Fullerton, NE, the son of Mary and Charles Koza. He grew up on a farm in the Fullerton, NE area. After graduation from High School, he joined the Navy. He served in the far east and was honorably discharged receiving the Victory Metal in World War II. He married the former Glennis Olafson. With his wife and daughter, they moved to Omaha, NE, where Jim worked in Law Enforcement, until moving to Phoenix, AZ in 1971, where he worked in Real Estate. In 1985 they moved to Sun City, AZ.
Preceded in death by his parents, his brother Larry Koza and his wife, and two nieces. Survived by his wife Glennis of 67 years, daughter Sandra and her husband Gary Fullington, sister -in-law Hazel Sutko, niece Terri and her husband Jeffrey Pruitt, great nieces Janeen Upton, Shawna Dziewit, great nephews Steven Crabtree and David Crabtree. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Sunland Mortuary 15826 Del Webb Blvd. Sun City, AZ. Lunch will follow the service at Little Bite of Italy on 99th Avenue and Greenway in Sun City, AZ.
