SUN CITY - Norma H. Thompson died Monday, July 16, 2012, in Sun City, three days after suffering a stroke. Mrs. Thompson was born Dec. 2, 1922, in Wilton, N.D. She served in the Women's Army Corps as a corporal during World War II, mostly at Clovis, N.M. She lived in Illinois from 1958-2008 before moving to Arizona. She was a longtime member of The American Legion. She is survived by two sons, Larry Landers (John Hendrix) of Mountain View, Calif., and John Thompson of Sun City; she is also survived by her brother, Martin Hagen of Wilton; and by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Landers; by her husband, Lyle Thompson; and by her sisters, Louise and Gunhild (Tiny). She will be buried at Rose Hill Cemetery outside Wilton.
