Wallace K. Reed - passed away peacefully on May 2, 2018 in Sun City West, AZ. He was born on April 27, 1924 in Boulder, CO. The son of H. Kenneth Reed and L. May (Johnson) Reed.
After graduation from Boulder High School, he attended the University of Colorado, until entering the Army Air Corp. He served as a B-17 Bomber Pilot. Upon discharge, he returned to Boulder and worked 40 years with Public Service Co. of Colorado and Cheyenne Light, Fuel and Power Co. During his career he was active in Rotary, Masonic Lodge, Chamber of Commerce, Bank Boards, Country Clubs, United Way, the Presbyterian Church and the Elks.
He married his high school sweetheart, Barbara J. McKee on April 22, 1944 and they had just celebrated their 74th wedding anniversary and his 94th birthday.
He is survived by his wife Barbara, children Gordy (Penny) Reed of Cheyenne, WY. and Virginia (Kevin) Custer of Sterling, CO. They have 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
After retiring in 1986 they have spent their winters in Sun City West, AZ. and Munds Park, AZ. Wally was active in golf, hiking, RVing and motorcycling. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Dorothy Joyce, Margaret Reed and a great grandson, Tanner Seebaum.
