W. L. Johnson, Sr. MILTON - Elwood "Woody" W. L. Johnson Sr. passed away on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22,2012 a few days prior to his 91st birthday at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, DE. At the time of his retirement, he worked for American Original Seafood in Cannon, DE. After retirement he enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Sarah; his mother and father, Thomas and Mollie Johnson of Milton; and his brother, Paul of Seaford. He is survived by a daughter, Mary Catherine Hopkins and her husband The Honorable John R. (Jack) Hudson of Milton; a son, Elwood (Bill) W.L. Johnson Jr. and his wife Karen of Milton; daughter, Lesia Kim Hutcheson and husband Gary of Ordinary, Va.; granddaughter, Jessica Hammond and her husband Kyle of Selbyville; grandson, John A Hopkins III and his wife Dawn of Milton; great-grandson, Justin Hopkins and his friend Alison of Milton; and a great-grandson, Izaak Hopkins of Milton. A funeral service will be held Tuesday Nov. 27, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services Milton, Del., where a viewing will be held Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Zion Church Cemetery, Route 16 Milton, DE.
