John Richard Bell

CAMDEN - John Richard Bell, Sr. left this earth to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013. He was born August 21, 1926. John served in the U.S. Marine Corp during WWII in the Asiatic Pacific Campaign, married in 1947 to loving wife Faye Swift of Crisfield, Maryland. John retired after 35 years of service with the Baltimore Gas and electric company (BG&E). He faithfully served as an active member of London Village Baptist Chapel in Magnolia and was recently honored as chairman of their newly elected Board of Deacons. John and Faye also enjoyed their extended family and participated together in many of the activities offered at Dover Modern Maturity Center. Mr. Bell is survived by his loving wife, Faye, of 66 years; four children, the first born Brenda Faye preceded him in death in 1952; Diana Lynn of Houston, Texas; and twin boys, John R. and Clarence James and their spouses; along with five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Service will be 12 p.m., Monday, Nov. 18, 2013 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather two hours earlier. Burial will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the , 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720-163.
