Roselle Marie Geyer

GREENWOOD - Roselle Marie Geyer passed away on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 at Christiana Hospital. She was born in Wilmington, Del., daughter of the late Morgan and Helen Wilhelm. Mrs. Geyer worked at LD Caulk of Milford. While living in Florida, which she enjoyed immensely, she enjoyed working at a bank near her home. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to the beach, the boardwalk, and boating. In her younger days, she enjoyed travelling all over the country with Walter. She also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. Mrs. Geyer was a great homemaker. She enjoyed keeping a tidy and well decorated home and kept it spotless. She was also a great cook. She loved her music and always had music playing in her home. She also loved tending to her flowers, antiques, and collecting teddy bears. She will be remembered as always smiling and laughing. She was well liked by all and treated everyone with respect. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ruth Lynne Sammons; sisters, Doris Roberts, and Betty Deakyne; brothers, Ralph Zachias, Frank Hudson, Charles Hudson, and Harry Hudson. She is survived by her loving husband, Walter J. Geyer; sons, John Sammons of Limerick, Pa., and David Sammons of SanFranciso, Calif.; step-sons, Walter "Jay" Geyer Jr. of Frederick, Md., John Geyer of Daytona, Fla., and Steven Geyer of Germantown, Md.; step-daughters, Doris Geyer of Madison Heights, Mich., and Corrine Geyer of Milford; brother, George Hudson of Smyrna; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Service will be held at noon on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, with visitation two hours prior to the service Interment will be in the Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton.
