Douglas Moxley Obituary

HOUSTON - Douglas "Ray" Moxley, Jr., of Houston, Del., died May 16, 2011 at Bayhealth Medical Center in Milford, Del., after a five year battle with gastric cancer. Born in Valdosta, Ga., he was the son of Douglas R. Moxley, Sr. of Hahire, Ga., and Bettye Yarbrough, of Valdosta, Ga. He had worked for many years as a Crane Operator with First State Crane until his death. He was predeceased by his stepfather, Bobby L. Yarbrough, Sr. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathi Joseph Moxley, of Houston, Del.; one son, Dylan R. Moxley, of Houston, Del.; one daughter, Kate E. Daye, of State College, Pa.; his stepmother, Jackie Moxley, of Hahire, Ga.; five brothers, Jonathan Yarbrough and wife Lesha, of Gainesville, Ga., Ed Yarbrough and wife Felicia, of Valdosta, Ga., Kenny Yarbrough and wife Amy, of Valdosta, Ga., Bob Yarbrough and wife Nikki, of Valdosta, Ga., and Jeff Moxley and wife Michelle, of Valdosta, Ga.; three sisters, Tonya Hannah, of Acworth, Ga., Janet Wright and husband Larry, of Acworth, Ga., and Jennifer Moxley, of Valdosta, Ga.; his mother and father-in-law, Ebe and Mary Lou Joseph, of Smyrna, Del.; two sisters-in-law, Kelley Willoughby and husband Bob, of Smyrna, Del., and Karen Burke, of Newark, Del.; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Friends may call Thursday, May 19, 2011 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover. Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2011, where friends may call at the Funeral Home starting at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the Milford Community Cemetery, Milford, De.
