CLAYTON - Lester "Butch" J. Lambdin, Jr., of Clayton, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on July 18, 1947 in Easton, Md. to the late Lester J. Sr. and Fannie Frances Walls Lambdin. Butch was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. He was employed with General Motors, Newport Plant, retiring after more than 20 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post #14, Smyrna and the Legion Riders, the Moose Lodge #2046 of Smyrna and the American Pool Players Assoc. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Ann Lambdin; sister. Leslie Alvera; and nephew, Doug Pinder. He is survived by his children, Robert Lambdin of Smyrna, Linda Lambdin of Bear, Penny Levan of Dover, Cindy Foley, Kathy Lambdin and Jerry Lambdin III all of Columbus, Ga., and Michael Lambdin of Smyrna; sisters, Elizabeth Ford of Hockessin and Deborah Pinder of Millsboro; seven grandchildren; and his faithful dog, Chic. Funeral service for Butch will be on Friday, Nov. 8, at 11:00 a.m. in the Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, Greensboro, where relatives and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow the service at 2:00 p.m. in the Delaware Veteran's Cemetery, Bear, DE.
