BETTERTON, Md. - Louis T. Grahamer, Jr. 'Lou' 74 of Betterton, Md., passed away on August 28, 2013 in Anne Arundel Medical Center, Annapolis, Md. Lou was born on December 10, 1938 in Philadelphia, Pa., son of the late Louis T. Grahamer, Sr. and Rose Law Grahamer. He was a young boy when his family moved to Betterton. After graduating high school he enlisted in the US Air Force where he served from 1958 to 1962. He worked for AT&T as an electronic technician for many years. He and his wife also owned P & G Market in Still Pond. He was a loving husband, father grandfather and great-grandfather, devoted to his family and community, giving of all his time and talents. He spent his life giving and doing the things he enjoyed. Among these include Life Membership at Betterton Vol. Fire Company, a volunteer for the American Red Cross, serving as Zoning Administrator for Town of Betterton and the Kent County Property Tax Appeals Board. Lou was a Little League Coach for 38 years including coaching his grandchildren in baseball and soccer. He was active at Nicholson Speedway Go-Cart Racing. He enjoyed fishing, camping and jogging. To all that knew him, he was described as a kind and gentle person, that would do anything for anyone, day or night. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Ann Cairnes. Lou is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nancy Price Grahamer; his children, Mark Grahamer (Kim) and Tracy Little (James) all of Betterton; four grandsons, Hunter and Holton Grahamer and Cody and Colby Burke; great-grandson, Brayden Grahamer; and three nieces, Sandy Halas, Cathi Dilullo, and Terry Bochnowicz. Friends may call 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013 in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, Md., where funeral service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013. Burial in Still Pond Cemetery.
