Ruth Buchman Obituary

HARRINGTON - Ruth E. Buchman, 80, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. Mrs. Buchman was a sewing machine operator at Schneiders Manufacturing for many years. She was an avid seamstress and enjoyed making kids clothes for her children when they were younger. She also loved to bake when she was younger, and always had big holiday meals at her home. Her favorite hobby was word search puzzles. She will be remembered as a strong person which was part of her Pennsylvania Dutch heritage. She was also very loving and giving, and always thinking of others above herself. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and their families. She leaves behind a legacy of being a good wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, Alvin and Nellie Weaver, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alton K. Buchman Sr.; son, Alton K. Buchman Jr.; and brother, Kenny Weaver. Survivors include son, Kermit A. Buchman of Easton, Pa.; daughters and son-in-law, Lynette P. and David Brintzenhoff of Harrington, Jean L. Bailey of Gainsville, Fla., and Carol Ann Coble of Oppelo, Ark.; brother, Alvin Weaver of Kansas; nine grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
