Sarah L. Evans

ELLENDALE - Sarah L. Evans, 64, of Ellendale, died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011, at Kent General Hospital, Dover. Born in Lanes, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Edward Mansfield, Sr. and Ethel Moore Mansfield. She served as a minister at the Mt. Enon Baptist Church. She was employed by Allen Family Foods. Loving memories will be cherished by: her husband, Rev. McKinley Evans of Ellendale; four daughters, Sandra (Ronnie) Newman of Slaughter Neck, Fawn E. Long and Ethel Evans, both of Ellendale, and Clara Evans of Georgetown; two sisters, Edith Mansfield and Coretha Mansfield Starling, both of Lanes; eight grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. She will lie in repose on Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m., at Mt. Enon Baptist Church, 600 Church Street, Milford. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Rev. James Holt will be officiating.
