Dover - Frank Nelson Buckle, Sr. died on Friday, April 25, 2014, at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Ridgely, MD on Sept. 23, 1928 to the late Fred and Mary Berkey Buckle. Frank was a Mechanic and worked for Leeds Travelwear, Playtex and the Delaware State News before retiring. He loved the great outdoors and traveling in his RV Motor Home. Camping was his favorite passion. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two wives, Helen Nemith Buckle and Myrtle Spencer Buckle; and two brothers, Paul and George Buckle. He is survived by three sons, Wayne Buckle of Salisbury, MD, Frank Nelson Buckle, Jr., of Bakersfield, Cali. and Joe Buckle of Simi Valley, Cali.; two daughters, Donna Buckle O'Leary of Lancaster, Pa. and Wanda LaBerge of Felton; three sisters, Shirley A. Ross of Hurlock, Md., Doris E. Buckle and Anna "Ann" P. Buckle, both of Easton, Md.; two brothers, Fred W. Buckle of Goldsboro, Md. and Richard A. Buckle, Sr., of Easton, Md.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 12 p.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St., in Smyrna, where visitation will be begin 2 hours prior to the service. Interment will be held in Sharon Hills Memorial Park in Dover. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Modern Maturity Center Meals on Wheels Program, 1120 Forrest Ave. Dover, DE 19901.
