Kane, 66 Hartly - Richard Kane passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 16, 2014. He was a veteran of The United States Marine Corps and proudly served his nation in the Vietnam War. He retired as a chemical operator at DuPont after 41 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and shooting. He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara K. Ball and George T. Kane, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Margaret B. Kane; two children, son, Brent T. Kane (Kimberly) and daughter, Shannon E. Griffith (Joseph); five grandchildren; Wyatt, Garrett, Hunter, Amelia and Taryn. Services will be held at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808 on Wednesday, July 23 at 1:00 PM where friends may call at noon.
