HARRINGTON - Lillian P. Pearson left her earthly body Friday evening, Aug. 22, 2014, and took on her glorified body in heaven. God saw that she was tired and reached down to take her home. She took his hand and never looked back. Lillian was born in Danbury, New Hampshire to the late Edward Jackson Coverdale and Ruth (Phelps) Coverdale. Lillian married Carl G. Pearson in 1932. In 1936, she was born again and became a member of Pilgrim Holiness Church in Harrington which is now Calvary Wesleyan Church. She was very passionate about serving her Lord Jesus Christ. She began and ended each day talking and praying to him. She depended on him for everything. Her desire was for everyone to receive salvation. Her goal in life was for everyone to get to heaven. Lillian was a member of the Red Hatters Society and enjoyed her time with the ladies immensely. In 1936 Lillian went to work at Ace Dress Factory making her way to supervisor from 1955 to 1978 when the factory closed. Lillian was born on Raggedy Mountain which is part of Danbury. Her childhood home backed right up against the mountain. Her great-great-grandfather, Benjamin C. Phelps was a circuit rider and preached all over the New England area. At the age of 88, Lillian wrote four books on the life and journey of her great-great-grandfather and grandfather on their adventures as a circuit rider preacher and had them published. She attended school until the ninth grade but went back to get her GED and graduated the same time as her daughter, Patricia. Lillian is preceded in death by her husband, Carl G.
