Robert 'Bob' Frank Garrow, 70 DOVER - Robert "Bob" Frank Garrow, 70, of Dover, passed away suddenly at home on Monday, Dec. 14, 2009. Bob was born in Dover on Sept. 9, 1939, and was the son of Ruth Harvath Garrow and the late Russell Frederick Garrow. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sheila Larson Garrow; his daughter and son-in-law, Tricia Renee and John Paul Martin; and a granddaughter, Taryn Renee Martin who held a very special place in his heart. He will be missed by his family and many wonderful friends. Bob retired after 30 years with the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control in 1995. He truly enjoyed those years with his passion for fishing, crabbing and hunting, watching the Phillies baseball games and working crossword puzzles. He loved the outdoors and spent many hours tinkering in the garage, working in the yard and he took special pride in his garden and sharing his summer vegetables. He will also be remembered for his expertise in being able to "fix anything" and he was always there to help his neighbors, family and friends. His devotion to his mother, who resides in Westminster Nursing Home, was admired by everyone. There was hardly a day that he did not stop in to visit with her. Bob had also served in the Army National Guards as a Staff Sergeant until the late 1960's and was long time member of the Elks Club in Dover. Remembrance Services will be 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 21, at the Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus Street, Dover, were friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of the service.
