MILFORD - Donald L. "Rock" Rockemann, passed away Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, at the age of 59. He was born in Milford the son of Ethel H. (Hayman) Rockemann and the late Merle H. Rockemann. Mr. Rockemann worked as a horse trainer for Sam Belote Stables. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Georgetown. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, golf and horse racing . Mr. Rockemann is preceded in death by his father. Merle H. Rockemann. He is survived by his mother, Ethel H. Rockemann of Georgetown; son, Christopher Rockemann of Auburdale, Fla.; sister, Pamela Byus of Georgetown; two brothers, Richard Rockemann and his wife Sandy of Georgetown and Robert Rockemann and his wife Robin of Felton; one granddaughter, Hanna Rockemann of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 19, 2011 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 East Market St., Georgetown, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment will be held in Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
