CAMDEN – Dorothy H. List passed away Friday, August 3, 2012, in Kent General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was born on May 25, 1929, in Cheswold, last of three children to the late Joseph and Mabel (Melvin) Hartnett. Dorothy worked for Playtex for nineteen years. Later she took a position with the Department of Motor Vehicle where she retired after twenty-two years and was affectionately known as 'Hot Dot'. Dorothy was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and the Camden-Wyoming Moose Lodge. She enjoyed volunteering at Harvest Years Center, playing bingo and canning. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul 'Babe' List, Jr. in 2002. Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Carol List and her companion Jim Silvestri of Georgetown; a son, Kevin List and his wife Robin of Felton; four grandchildren Kristi Hopkins of Lincoln, Ashlee Hopkins of Georgetown, Courtney List and Jonathan List both of Felton; two great- grandchildren Zoie Gray and Baylee Gray both of Lincoln. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave.,Wyoming. Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2012, at Pippin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to Easter Seals Delaware and Maryland's Eastern Shore, Corporate Headquarters, 61 Corporate Circle, New Castle, DE 19720-2439.
