Maiden, Sr., 67 DOVER - Charles C. Maiden, Sr. died Jan. 25, 2013. Born in Phila., Pa., he was the son of the late Cyril and Mildred Smith Maiden Ewan. He was a US Navy Veteran and for the greater part of his life owned and operated several different businesses, including Keystone Industries in Dover. Not being satisfied with retirement, he joined Dover Downs Hotel - Casino where he had been serving as a Dealer for the past three years. He was a member of the NRA, the Camden-Wyoming Moose Lodge, the Central Del. Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau. He was a dedicated father and grandfather who placed a great importance towards family and friends. He was a kind and gentle person who always showed a concern for his fellow man. Buck will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Beverly Rex; and his son, Jason who died in 2009. He is survived by two sons, Charles Garrard of Akron, Ohio, and Joshua Maiden of Dover; two daughters, Karen Garrard of Stow, Ohio, and Jillian Maiden of Dover; step-father, William Ewan of Williamstown, N.J.; his beloved sister, Linda M. Knight and husband William of Langhorne, Pa.; along with 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013 at Saint Andrews Lutheran Church, 425 N. DuPont Hwy, Dover, DE., where friends may call starting at 9:15 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in his memory to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way Milford, DE 19963. Life's End Services are by Michael J. Ambruso Funeral Director, Inc.
