Buckhalter, Max T.  
MOORE HAVEN - Max T. Buckhalter, 67, of Moore Haven Florida passed away on February 26, 2015 at his home. Max was a Retired Journeyman Wireman Electrician and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local # 349. He enjoyed Nascar, Fishing and was the World Champion in Fast Draw in 1980-1981. Mr. Buckhalter is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jeanne Buckhalter of Moore Haven; son, Tommy (Dina) Buckhalter of Homestead, Fla.; and daughter; Paula (Mike) Rippetoe of Milton, Fla.; granddaughters, Heather Torres of Cairo, Ga., Breezy Rippetoe of Milton, Fla., Amanda Kines of Cairo, Ga., Katy Buckhalter of Cairo, Ga.; great granddaughter, Reighly Torres of Cairo, Ga.; sister, Mary Stone of Albany, Ga.; and brothers, Charles Buckhalter of Moore Haven, and Don Buckhalter of Pa. Visitation was held on Tuesday, from 1:30 to 3pm with services beginning at 3pm at Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor L.C. Campbell Officiating. Cannon, Thomas Greenleaf  
Thomas Greenleaf Cannon, Sr. died Feb. 25, 2015. He was born Oct. 24, 1949 in Marblehead, Mass. to Lester and Margery Hope Cannon. He was a resident of Okeechobee since 1994 and was a pipe foreman and heavy equipment operator by trade. Mr. Cannon was a family man who enjoyed being outdoors hunting with his dogs, fishing and going to yard sales and flea markets. Mr. Cannon was preceded in death by his parents; and father-in-law, Harry Starkey. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Linda Starkey Cannon; four daughters, Cory Owens (Larry) of Warren, Texas, Sandi Fortenberry of Woodville, Texas, Tonia Casian (Chris) and Nicole Talley (Robert); son, Tommy Cannon, Jr. (Stephanie) all of Okeechobee; 12 grandchildren, Crystal, Mason, Shane, Shawn, Sierra, Skylar, Christina, Justice, Robbie, Clayton, Kaleb and Storm; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tim Cannon (Rita) of West Palm Beach and Chris Cannon of Jupiter; and two sisters, Patsy Cannon of Colorado and Sarah Teft of Jupiter. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Sat., Mar. 7, 2015 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home. Coker, Michael Ryan  
OKEECHOBEE - Michael Ryan Coker died February 24, 2015. He was born February 26, 1990 in Sebring, Florida to Frank Coker and Peyton Pearce. He worked as a parts manager for Florida Sports Cycle. A lifetime resident of Okeechobee, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He also like art and motorcycles. Mr. Coker is survived by his father, Frank Coker (Wendy); mother Cindy Pearce (Jason); two brothers, Joey Conroy (Katlyn) and John Pearce; two sisters, Meghan Conroy and Josey Pearce all of Okeechobee; grandparents, Charles and Daisy Coker of Parrish, Florida, Durwin and Pat Tyner of Okeechobee and Joe and Kathy Pearce; girlfriend, Rachel Muros; Godson, Leon Johnson; uncles, Durwan and Rooter Tyner all of Okeechobee; and cousin, Ocean Tyner. Visitation will be Monday, March 2, 2015 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Basinger Cemetery. Fahsel, Michael Joseph  
OKEECHOBEE - Michael Joseph Fahsel died February 26, 2015. He was born August 21, 1949 in Syracuse, New York to Earl and Patricia Nagel Fahsel. Mr. Fahsel proudly served our country in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He received three Purple Hearts and was a member of the Purple Heart Club and the V.F.W. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing and hunting. Mr. Fahsel was preceded in death by his father, Earl Fahsel; and stepfather, Mahin Tawil. He is survived by his wife of seven years, Terese Fahsel of Okeechobee; mother, Pat Tawil of Port St. Lucie; three grandsons, Aiden Moreno and E. J. Moreno of Okeechobee and Mason Moreno of Kendall, Fla.; two granddaughters, Kayla Sanden of Royal Palm Beach and Brooklyn Schorea of Okeechboee; four sisters, Anita Amidon of Marcellus, New York, Melinda Roth of Enterprise, Alabama, Denise Moore of Port St. Lucie and Cherie Bracy of Port Charlotte. Hendricks, Ben  
OKEECHOBEE - Ben Hendricks died Mar. 2, 2015. He was born May 17, 1936 in Liberty, S.C. to Edwin and Tennie Looper Hendricks. He proudly served our country in the US Armed Forces. A seasonal resident of Okeechobee for 20 years, he attended First United Methodist Church of Okeechobee and was a Mason, Shriner and member of the Scottish Rite. He was an avid story teller, private pilot and loved to fly. Mr. Hendricks was preceded in death by his sister, Annie Laurel Findley; and brother, Harold Hendricks. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Maybelle of Easley, S.C.; brother, James Hendricks (Elma) of Lakeland; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held in Easley, S.C. with interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park. OKEECHOBEE - Patricia Lou Miller died February 19, 2015. She was born December 28, 1937 in Lodi, Ohio to Lester, Sr. and Doris Baker Warner. She was a resident of Okeechobee since 1991. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Merrill D. Miller. Peifer, Robert Wayne "Bobby"  
OKEECHOBEE - Robert "Bobby" Wayne Peifer died Feb. 28, 2015. He was born Oct. 9, 1958 in Decatur, Ill. to Thomas and Beverly Lanckton Peifer. A resident of Okeechobee for 13 years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and four-wheeling with his best friend, John Boy. Mr. Peifer was preceded in death by his father, Tom Peifer and father-in-law, Gene Hill. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Penny Peifer of Okeechobee; mother, Beverly Peifer of Sebring; three brothers, John Peifer, Jimmy Peifer both of Lake Placid and Kenny Peifer of Sebring; and sister, Debbie Wolfhope (Larry) of Wauchula. OKEECHOBEE - Eva Florence Sage died Ma. 1, 2015. She was born May 29, 1932 in Limestone, Maine to Amedee and Eva Dourgoin Rossignol. A resident of Okeechobee for over 50 years, she was of the Catholic faith. She played Bingo anytime she could. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Sage "Buddy". She is survived by two sons, Ronnie Sage (JoAnn) and Arthur Sage all of Okeechobee; daughter, Sharon Sage of Tenn.; eight grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Morrison of N.C. and Shirley Clauson of St. Augustine; and brother, Perley Rossignol (Pauline) of Venice. Williams, Viola Keel  
ALVA - Viola Keel Williams passed away Feb. 19, 2015 in Alva. She was born Nov. 12, 1928 in LaBelle to the late Benjamin Franklin and the late Lula Frances (Fussell) Guy. She was a lifetime member of the Alva Church of God. She was married to Charles C. Keel Nov. 23, 1953 until his death Feb. 15, 1983 and Henry M. Williams from Sept. 11, 1992 until his death Nov. 26, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Evelyn Langford, Connie Baker and Mary Cussin. Survivors include daughters, Sharon (Steve) McCormick of LaBelle, Pamela (Ronald) Barnard of Alva, Iris (Comer) Taylor of Alva and Edith (Ernest) Clemons of Fort Myers Shores; son, Sherral (Brenda) Keel of Alva; eight grandsons; eight granddaughters; nine great-grandsons; five great-granddaughters; sisters, Rosa Lee Hull and Lucille Welch of LaBelle and Martha Sullivan of Satsuma; brothers, Ben Art Guy of LaBelle, Tommy Guy of Naples and Billy Guy of Tenn. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, 10:30 a.m. at Alva Church Of God, Alva with Rev. Earl Daniels officiating. Interment followed in Alva Cemetery. Woodham, Franklin E.  
OKEECHOBEE - Franklin E. Woodham died February 22, 2015 at his home. He was born September 29, 1936 in Port Mayaca, Florida. A resident of Okeechobee most of his life, he was a mason by trade. He was a State Bishop and currently the Pastor of Church of God of Prophecy in Moore Haven. His hobbies included fishing and hunting; he loved Bluegrass music. He was loved by many and known as Dad, Daddy, PawPaw, Papa, Pops, Poppy, Uncle, Brother, Bishop, Pastor, Fred, Spread, mentor and friend but mostly OUR HERO. Mr. Woodham was preceded in death by his mother, Nettie Levins Woodham; father, John B. Woodham; brother, J.B. "Jake" Woodham; sisters, Myrtle Woodham, Gloria Harrell, Catherine Baggett and Mary Lou Woodham. He is survived by two children, Eddie and Francine; Lisa, whom he thought of as a daughter; sister, Elsie Jones; son-in-law, Steve Keezer; daughter-in-law, Teresa; grandchildren, Jonathan, Brandon, Carl, Trevor, Sheldon, Bo and Brittney; great grandchildren, Briann, Bradley, Brody, Blake, Zachary, Breanna, Alyssa, Fred, Conner and Levi; many nieces and nephews; host of friends; and lifetime friend who dedicated her time to him for several months and whom she called Poppy and considered him a third Dad, our angel, Debbie Parker.
