John "Jack" William

Rashley, Jr., 95 OKEECHOBEE - John "Jack" William Rashley, Jr. died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013. He was born August 31, 1918 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to John Sr. and Lura Rashley. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Okeechobee and served as a greeter for many years. He retired from Merita/Dandy Bread Company then worked for Buxton Funeral Home for about 25 years, where he served in every aspect of the funeral industry. He was also a member of the American Legion, V.F.W. and Okeechobee Masonic Lodge. Mr. Rashley was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Rashley. He is survived by five daughters, Norma Jean White of Okeechobee, Carolyn Cunningham of South Carolina, Joyce Dodgen (Gene) of Belle Glade, Alice McCord of Georgia and Donna Tenet (Russell) of Tavares; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and one brother, Robert Rashley of Crystal River. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
