OKEECHOBEE - Robert Glenn Beane passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013 surrounded by his family. Bob was born April 14, 1931 in Boyd, Ill. to Darrell Glenn Beane and Sarah Marie Meadows. On August 28, 1954 Bob and Carolyn M. Shepherd were married. Together they raised four children, Vickie B. Mitchell, Roberta K. Beane, Glenda M. Beane (deceased) and Commander Gary W. Beane. He was the grandfather of seven and great- grandfather of six. He was one of six children, sisters, Roena Earle, Bonnie Shehorn, Mary E. Carrasico (deceased), Harriet Stinde and brother, Gary Lee Beane (deceased). Bob served in the U.S. Army, was a successful business man, known in Palm Beach County as a Real Estate Mogul. He was the owner of an exterminating company for 37 years. He was a life member of the Lions Club, V.F.W. 10539, Eagles Club, Redneck Yacht Club and a former member of Saints to Sinners. Bob enjoyed having a beer, playing pool and rolling one with his friends. He loved driving his backhoe. A memorial service will be held at Bob's home on 15B on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 2 p.m. for family and friends. He will be sorely missed.
