Okeechobee - Charlotte Arlene Franklin died May 30, 2018. She was born June 4, 1933 in Ashland, Ky. A resident of Okeechobee over 35 years, she was a member of Oakview Baptist. She enjoyed craftwork, crocheting, sewing, cooking, baking, and fishing. She was a member of Club 33, International Club of Women born in 1933, and Oakview Baptist Church's Hugs Program. She loved flowers, but especially roses, carnations, and daisies. She also enjoyed caring for her cat, Callie, attending church fellowship and Sunday School, and large family gatherings.
Mrs. Franklin was preceded in death by her parents, Nell and Clarence Ison; husband, Sherrill Franklin; daughter, Kathy Franklin; son, Gary Franklin; and brother, Ray Hunter.
She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Kruger (Terry); son, Bruce Franklin (Leda); brothers, George Ison, Charles Ison, Ken Ison (Debra), and Bob Ison (Sandy); grandchildren, Kyle Johnson (Sarah), Eric Johnson (Chantelle), Stephanie Johnson (Zak), Janie Tausch (Shawn), Kathy Baratela (John), Angie Johnson (Kelvin), Lori Franklin (Logan), Gary Franklin, Jr. (Ashley), Sondora (Sean), and Rob (Haley); 18 great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Vicky Franklin.
Services will be planned for a later date.
