Okeechobee - David Lamar Craig died July 17, 2018. He was born Oct. 16, 1933 in Bedford, Ky.
Mr. Craig proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, where he worked on tanks. He retired after 47 years as the Maintenance Manager with Indiana Kentucky Electric Company. He loved his Lord first and foremost. He was a member of the NRA, enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, hunting, horses, birds, cows, chickens and loved his tractors and guns. He loved life and enjoyed caring for his dogs, Pebbles and Buddy. After overcoming his addiction to sweets he developed a savory affection for bacon and ham.
Mr. Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Corene (Staples) Craig; daughter, Dayna Craig; brothers, Vernon Craig and Claude Craig; and sister, Willana Craig.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Kimberly Craig, of Okeechobee; son, Daniel Craig (Jennifer); daughters, Debra Baker (Chris), Deanna "DeeDee" Craig, Cheryl Adair, and Cherona Craig, all of Bedford, Ky.; grandchildren, Megan, Matthew, Jenna, and Danielle; and great-granddaughter, Harper.
Memorial services will be 5 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2018 at Sacramento Farms, 11575 HWY 98 North, Okeechobee, FL 34972.
Funeral services will be held in Bedford, Ky. where Mr. Craig will be interred at Bedford Cemetery.
