Okeechobee - Donald C. Biesemeyer died April 4, 2018. He was born Dec. 31, 1926 in Wyandotte, Mich. to the late Fred and Clara Lea Biesemeyer. Mr. Biesemeyer proudly served our country in the United States Marines during World War II. He was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries sustained during his service. A resident of Okeechobee for 15 years, he enjoyed cross stitching, fishing, and playing horseshoes.
Mr. Biesemeyer was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Biesemeyer.
He is survived by his sons, Bryan Carl Biesemeyer, of Kernersville, N.C., and Donald Michael Biesemeyer, of Troy, Ill.; grandchildren, Lauren Ann Biesemeyer, of Kernersville, N.C., Zachary Bryan Biesemeyer, of Kernersville, N.C., Adam Biesemeyer, of Freeburg, Ill., and Nathan Biesemeyer, Troy, Ill.; and brother, Paul Biesemeyer.
