OKEECHOBEE - Edith Hansel Hester passed away on Sept. 30, 2018 at the Hamrick Hospice of Okeechobee.
Edith loved to color, crochet and talk on the phone with her friends and family. Edith retired from the St. Lucie County School Board as a bus driver. Edith was of the Mormon faith and an active member of the Church of Latter Day Saints.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband, James Hester; her parents, Henry Morgan Hansel and Mary Driggers; brother, Earl Hansel; sister, Betty Harper; daughter, Nelda Cason; and granddaughter, Kimberly Pena.
Edith is survived by her son, Sonny Cason; sisters, Edna Crostic and Ann Lindesmith; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
Graveside services will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018 at 2 p.m., Evergreen Cemetery with President David Whitecell officiating.
