Okeechobee - George Cleveland Leonard died June 27, 2018. He was born Nov. 14, 1960 in Okeechobee to Joel Raymond and Avalou (McCartney) Leonard. A lifetime resident of Okeechobee, he was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed building cars, specializing in hot rods and mud trucks. He was an avid fisherman, loved the Lord, and was well known for sharing his testimonies. He was a well-known third generation well driller with Leonard's Well Drilling for over 40 years.
Mr. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey Leonard, of Madison, Wis., Jesse Leonard (Amber), and John Summerall, all of Okeechobee; brothers, Joel Leonard, of Okeechobee, and David Leonard (Susie), of St. Petersburg; sister, Becky Leonard, of Okeechobee; grandsons, Jeremiah Leonard and Jeffrey Price; beloved Chihuahua, Gizmo; and the mother of his children, Lynette Leonard.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. until services at 5 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2018 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home.
