Theresa Nix Douglas, 80
Indiantown - Harold Athel Douglas died May 24, 2018. He was born June 3, 1930 in Okeechobee to Elisha Jefferson and Lillian Mae (Hulsey) Douglas. He proudly served our country in the United States Marines during the Korean War.
Theresa Nix Douglas died May 22, 2018. She was born Sept. 12, 1937 in Okeechobee to Rual Eugene and Emma Lee (Underhill) Nix. She was a homemaker.
Harold and Theresa were lifelong residents of Indiantown. They were a perfect team in raising their children and their cattle. She volunteered with Hospice of Okeechobee. He enjoyed fishing. They had the gift of hospitality. They were members of the Family Worship Center and faithful ministers of their Lord.
Harold and Theresa were preceded in death by their son, Steve Douglas. Harold was preceded in death by his brothers, Travis and Milton Douglas; and sister, DeeCee Douglas Bass. Theresa was preceded in death by her brother, Norris Eugene Nix.
They are survived by their son, Marshall Douglas (Susan), of Indiantown; daughter, Robin Douglas McDonald (John), of Oviedo; Harold's brothers, Dr. Edward Douglas and David Douglas (Carolyn); Harold's sister, Juanita Walker, all of Okeechobee, Theresa's sisters, Betty Sweatt, of Okeechobee, and Martha Upthegrove, of Bartow; four grandchildren, Austin Douglas, Dominique Spears, Katrina Alvarez, and Brittany Durden; and ten great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Family Worship Center of Indiantown.
