Okeechobee - Hilaria F. Jackson died May 17, 2018. She was born Dec. 31, 1939, to Marshall and Maria Figarum in the Phillipines. She had been a resident of Okeechobee for 40 years and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.
She loved fulfilling the role of mother to her children and caring for her husband. She enjoyed working the flea market and walking every day.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Elvin Jackson; sons, Elvin (Lina) Jackson, Jr. of Palm Bay, Kenny Jackson of Okeechobee; step-son, Leomar (Beverly) Jackson of Comer, Ga.; step-daughters, Edith (Glen) Willard of St. Augustine, Delores (James) Kelum of Comer, Ga., Mary (Phillip) Hall of Mobile, Ala., Jeannie (Sam) Scruggs of Okeechobee, Barbara Kline of Mobile, Ala., Melissa Wynn of Salem, Ind.; over 20 grandchildren and over 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, from 10 a.m. until service time of 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
