OKEECHOBEE - Homer C. Creech passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 5, 2018. He was born Aug. 4, 1934 in Campton, Ky. to Cord and Rev. Eva (Caudill) Creech.
He is survived by his loving wife Jol of 37 years; sons, Gregory (Teresa), Rogers, Ky. and James, Bradenton; daughter, Debra (Dave) Price, Hamilton, Ohio; stepson, Daniel Driggs, Middletown, Ohio; sister, Wanda (Sam) Hollon, Middletown Ohio; eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchild and nieces and nephews.
Mr. Creech moved to Okeechobee in Dec. 1989 coming from Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Creech was the Past President and former Manager of Ancient Oaks and in his youth, he was a top basketball player in the State of Kentucky. While in Middletown, he was employed for 19 years at Aeronca, working on the Apollo program, then opened his own real estate named, Crown Royale. He retired from Carr Supply in Columbus, Ohio in 1989, moving to Ancient Oaks RV Resort in Okeechobee.
A Celebration of Homer's life will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Ancient Oaks Clubhouse. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the choice of the donor in Homer's name.
