LABELLE - John Buel Tallman passed away at Lehigh Medical Center on March 31, 2013 at the age of 80. John was born in Hammond, Ind. in 1933. He graduated from George Rogers Clark in in 1952 and went on to earn a Bachelors Degree in Agriculture from Michigan State University. He worked as a USDA inspector. John enjoyed being on the farm, fishing at the cabin, traveling to Panama, camping in Alaska, and being a good friend to members of the American Legion. He served in the Army and was a member of American Legion Post#130 in LaBelle. John loved his grandchildren and enjoyed a cold beer with his dear friend Margaret. John is predeceased by father, Ralph LaRue Tallman; mother, Helen Sylvia Keating; brothers, Robert Tallman and Harry Tallman; and sister, Rita Harman. John is lovingly remembered by his son, Michael Tallman (Linda) of Lansing Mich.; his daughters, Marianne Johnson of Fayetteville, Pa., and Kirsten Sheren of Radcliff, Ky.; grandsons, Alex Martel and Trevor Johnson; and granddaughters, Kathryn Johnson and Jessica Sheren; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support. John will be deeply missed. If you were a friend of John's you were a friend for life. A memorial tribute to John will be held at Grandma's Grove RV Resort, located at 2250 SR 80W, Labelle, on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 1 p.m. Cremation arrangements by Akin-Davis Funeral Home - LaBelle.
