Okeechobee - John E. Sacra, Sr. died May 2, 2018. He was born March 8, 1946 in Washington D.C. to Henry and Hazel (Farmer) Sacra. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
He was a bowling coach for countless children over the years and bowled in various leagues. He was devoted to his family and his church, More2Life Ministries.
Mr. Sacra was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara White Sacra; son, John E. Sacra, Jr.; and brother, Norman Sacra.
He is survived by his son, Todd White (Shonda), of Tennessee; daughter, Shelly Doyle (Justin), of Okeechobee; brother, Henry Sacra (Sue), of Utah; sister, Nancy Stallings (James), of Delaware; eight grandchildren; one great- granddaughter; two nieces; and two nephews.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2018 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home with Pastor Cary McKee officiating.
