OKEECHOBEE - Peggy Ann Fulford Goolsby, was born Feb. 24, 1945 in Miami to parents, Gene and Peggy (Harvey) Fulford and entered into rest on April 6th, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ehrick Goolsby; and mother, Peggy Harvey Fulford.
She is survived by her father, Gene Fulford, Okeechobee; son, Ernie (Jessica) Goolsby, Lake Placid; daughter, Ehricka (Bill) Wallace, Okeechobee; grandsons, Randall Shapiro and Blake Shapiro, Arlington, Texas and Willie Wallace, Okeechobee; granddaughters, Olivia Goolsby and Melaina Goolsby, Lake Placid, Chelsea (Dylan) Fogelman, Indiantown; brothers, Gene (Debbie) Fulford, Jr., Labelle, and Bobby Fulford, Okeechobee; nephews, Bobby Jo (Leslie) Fulford, Moore Haven, Jesse (Taylor) Fulford, Okeechobee, Cole (Cassidy) Fulford, Kenansville; nieces Chenean (Jason) Arledge, Avon Park, Bobbie Jean (Luis) Cabezas, Apopka, and Josie (Don) Cleghorn; grandnephews, grandnieces, extended family and many dear friends.
Peggy Ann married the love of her life, Ehrick Goolsby, in 1962 and spent 31 years of marriage as a wife and mother raising their two children, Ernie and Ehricka, on the family owned dairy farm and ranch, Flying G Farms. In 1980, Peggy Ann together with her husband, Ehrick, started Flying G Rodeo Company, where they made many friends putting on rodeo performances all over the state drawing top name cowboys from around the nation. For many years after her husband's death, Peggy Ann was employed by Eli's Western Wear where she shared her great sense of style outfitting friends and customers in the latest fashions. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Okeechobee. She was a good friend to many of all ages.
Later years were spent enjoying weekend boating on the east coast and traveling and helping in the care of her parents.
Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home will be holding visitation with the family on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2018 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
