Artie B. "Granny" Scroggin

OKEECHOBEE - Artie B. "Granny" Scroggin, age 88, died Sept. 6, 2010, at her residence. She was a resident of Okeechobee for 22 years. Granny lived for her family, children, and all of her grandchildren. For 30 years she worked in food service in the Pahokee School System. She is survived by sons, Bob (Lynda) Scroggin of Leslie, Ark., Bill (Cathy) Scroggin, of Marshall, Ark., Ed (Lynn) Scroggin, of Jacksonville, Fla.; daughters, Chris Roberts and Annette Usher, both of Okeechobee; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl and grandson, Billy Scroggin. A graveside service will be held Sept. 9, at 1 p.m., at Port Mayaca Memorial Gardens and Park, Port Mayaca. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of Okeechobee, P.O. Box 1548, Okeechobee, FL 34973.
