PRINCESS ANNE - Donald P. "Donnie", Price died Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Crisfield June 2, 1952, he was a son of Janet Lee "Tease" Tull Price of Crisfield and the late Donald M. Price who died November 7, 1991. He graduated from Crisfield High School class of 1970 and obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in education from Salisbury State College, now Salisbury University. He was a retired school teacher for Somerset County Board of Education and was also retired from Somerset County Recreation and Parks. He was currently a substitute teacher for Somerset County Schools. Very active in his community, Donnie was a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church in Oriole, was Vice President of the Somerset Ruritan and volunteered at their annual carnival and benefit softball tournament, member and treasurer of the Somerset County Library Board, member of the Eastern Shore Baseball Foundation, annual volunteer at the J. Millard Tawes Crab and Clam Bake and the National Hard Crab Derby swim meet sponsored by the Crisfield Lions Club, annual scoreboard keeper and assistant of the Washington High School Baseball Team, and was scoreboard operator for Washington High School fall sports. An avid Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles fan, he loved all sports and especially enjoyed playing tennis with his friends Larry Sterling, Lloyd Tyler, and Tim Howard. Along with his mother, Janet Lee "Tease" Tull Price, he is survived by his wife of 35 years, Judy Laird Price of Princess Anne; his daughter, Jill Elizabeth Price of Princess Anne; his son, James Myron Price of Princess Anne; his uncle, Larry Price and wife Fran of Wilson, N.C.; his great-aunt, Nellie Mae Smith of Princess Anne; his mother-in-law, Patricia H. Laird of Princess Anne; his brothers-in-law, Brian Laird and wife Vickie of Princess Anne and Charles Laird and wife Donna of Crisfield; his nieces and nephews, Eric and Kellie Laird, Brian Laird, Jr., Rachel Johnson, Katie Laird and her daughters, Tori and Cadyn Travers, Jeff Eby, Grayson Laird, Ross and Amanda Cullen, Chase Cullen and Billy Ward; and his specials cousins, Betsy and Butch Thomas, Ashley and Billy Walters, and Rev. Mark and Shannon Thomas. Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, David M. Price; his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. H. Parker Tull, Jr. and Mr. & Mrs. M. Myron Price; and his father-in-law, Clarence I. Laird. Funeral services officiated by Pastors Sally Stewart, Mark Thomas and Paul Holland were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2014 at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where a viewing was Thursday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. Interment was in St. Peter's Cemetery in Oriole. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be sent to St. Peter's U. M.
