ANGELONE, RAFFAELA V. " RAE" Raffaela "Rae" V. Angelone of Cheshire passed away on February 6, 2013. Rae was the widow of John V. Angelone. Born in New Haven, she was a daughter of the late Fabiano & Rose Picaro Valeriano. Rae is survived by her daughters, Joy Angelone of Cheshire and Rose Marie Angelone & her husband James Pike of Cromwell, and nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Carmel Carrano and her brother Andrew Valeriano. Rae was a legal secretary, employed by several law firms and judges in the New Haven Courthouse before her retirement. Always positive and active, she valued her family and life-long friends. She was very proud of her Italian heritage, her beloved Amalfi, Italy, and sister-parish St. Michael's Church in New Haven. She loved music and singing, and enjoyed her trip to Italy and summer vacations along the East Coast. Friends may visit with her family on Friday, February 8, from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden, and may attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Bridget Church, 175 Main Street, Cheshire. Interment will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to Elim Park Baptist Home, 140 Cook Hill Rd, Cheshire, CT 06410. Joy and family, we are so sorry for your loss. Your mom was a wonderful woman, I had many fond memories of her and my mother at St. Michael's. She is our Guardian Angel now. The sun is her infectious smile, the rain and snow are her tears, together letting you know she is with you always.
