Albert Calli

CALLI, ALBERT CHARLES Albert passed away peacefully at home in Winter Park, Colorado on January 6, 2014. He was born on September 23, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois; son of Joan McDonald Calli of Branford and New Haven, Connecticut and the late Albert Paul Calli of Tequesta, Florida. He attended the Cheshire Academy in Cheshire, Connecticut and then served his Country in the Unites States Navy. He spent several years in Vietnam aboard the aircraft carrier, U.S.S. America. Albert was an advocate for people with disabilities and served in various capacities over the years for agencies in both Connecticut and Colorado, with a focus on assisting young adults with development disabilities to live and work independently. He loved the outdoors, especially the Rocky Mountains and was an avid skier. He is survived by 2 sons; Clinton Calli (Stephanie) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Cody Kitch of Rocky Ford, Colorado. He is also survived by his mother, Joan McDonald Calli of Branford and New Haven, Connecticut and his five siblings; Rory Manaro (Jim) of Leland, North Carolina, Lisa Dannheim (Gunther) of Branford, Connecticut, Charles Calli of Portland, Maine, Felicia Hiscock (Rick) of Brampton, Ontario, Canada and Paul Albert Calli (Liangy) of Miami Shores, Florida; 7 nieces, 5 nephews, 3 grand-nieces and 2 grand-nephews. A private memorial service to celebrate his life is scheduled with his family and his ashes will later be spread in the Rocky Mountains.
