Albert Corraro

CORRARO, ALBERT J. Albert J. Corraro of Litchfield Tnpk. Woodbridge died peacefully June 18, 2013 at his home. He was the husband of the late Joan Gaudio Corraro. Al was born in New Haven January 1, 1921 son of the late Domenico and Antonietta Testa Corraro and was a proud veteran of the US Marine Corps serving during WWII. He owned and operated Stateside Cleaners in Woodbridge for over 40 years and until recently continued working at Golden Touch Cleaners. He was an avid NY Yankees fan who never missed watching a game. He was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Assumption Church and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Al was also a long time member of American Legion Post 71. He is the brother of Jennie Bombace, Minnie Criscuolo, and the late Margaret, A. Clifford, Amedeo and Louis Corraro. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. His funeral will leave from the IOVANNE FUNERAL HOME INC., 11 Wooster Place, Saturday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian burial in Our Lady of Assumption Church, 81 Center Rd., Woodbridge at 10am. Burial with military honors in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday from 4-7pm.
