FRANK POCIUS

POCIUS, FRANK G. Frank G. Pocius of North Haven died August 14, 2014 in Connecticut Hospice. He is the husband of Rose Weber Pocius. Frank was born in Long Island, New York November 12, 1930 a son of the late Frank and Monica Plauscinkus Pocius. He is an Army Veteran and served proudly during the Korean War. Before retiring Frank was Director of Information Systems for the Hospital of St. Raphael for many years. He is a member of the American Legion Post 88 and a life member of The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. Frank was instrumental in the establishment and organization of the Friendship Gate Group Home in Hamden, one of the first group homes in the area for mentally challenged adults. He is the father of Michael (Janet) Pocius and grandfather of Jenna and Lauren Pocius. Brother of the late Vincent Zukauskus and Anthony Zuke. Funeral from the LUPINSKI FUNERAL HOME, INC., 821 State Street Monday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10.
