Mary Yurczyk

YURCZYK, MARY A. Mary A Yurczyk, age 87, of Clinton, formerly of West Haven, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, March 8, 2014. She was the wife of the late Daniel Yurczyk, her high school sweetheart of 45 years. Born Maria Annunziata Corsini in New Haven on May 1, 1926, to the late Michael F. Corsini and Nellie May (Taylor) Corsini. Graduate of Hillhouse High School in New Haven who as a young girl worked at Berger Brothers, later at the University of New Haven, and in her early retirement days, part-time at the Lupones-Clinton Dept. Store. She loved reading, her sewing projects, traveling, animals, UConn Women’s basketball, her ’mini-vacations’ to the casinos, and especially treasured the time spent with her family and friends. Beloved mother of Richard D. Yurczyk (Maryann) of Berlin and Laura J. Yurczyk of Clinton, grandmother of Deanna Yurczyk and great-grandmother of Mikey. Predeceased by her brother, Sonny (Michael) Corsini, and survived by several nieces and nephews and her sisters-in-law Helen, Jean, Marie, and Irene. Friends and family may call to the Swan Funeral Home, 80E Main St., Clinton, CT, Wednesday, March 12, 9:30 a.m.–10:30 a.m., with an 11:00 mass at St. Mary’s Church of Visitation, Clinton, followed by a Christian Burial service at St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.
